Zucker Named Stevens Woman of the Year by NJAIAW
WEST ORANGE, N.J. – Stevens Institute of Technology senior Sam Zucker was named the Stevens Woman of the Year by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women on Saturday afternoon at Seton Hall University. Zucker, a member of the women’s lacrosse team at Stevens, has excelled in academics and athletics throughout her entire career as a Duck.
Hot Shooting Propels Men's Basketball to 86-57 Win Over Rutgers-Camden
CAMDEN, N.J. – The Stevens institute of Technology men’s basketball team connected on 12-of-22 from three-point land en route to an 86-57 road win over Rutgers University-Camden on Monday night in Camden, N.J. Sophomore guard Eric Kessler scored 18 points on 6-for-8 from long range and sophomore guard Mike Cutri also poured in 18 points for the Ducks who shot 55.6 percent from the floor. With the win, Stevens improves to 17-4 on the season.
Fuller Named Empire 8 Women's Basketball Player Of The Week
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior co-captain Brittany Fuller captured her second Empire 8 women’s basketball Player of the Week award of the season after helping the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team avenge an earlier loss to Utica College with a hard-fought, 67-64, victory over the second-place Pioneers at Canavan Arena in Hoboken, N.J.
Men's Fencing Splits Pair Of Matches At New Jersey Duals
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s fencing team split a pair of matches at the New Jersey Duals, defeating New Jersey Institute of Technology, 19-8, before falling to host Princeton University, 17-10. Freshman Anthony Worthington went undefeated to power the Ducks’ foil corps past the Highlanders, while fellow freshman Daniel Burke scored three wins to key Stevens’ 5-4 triumph over the Tigers’ sabre squad.
Women's Fencing Goes 2-1 at New Jersey Duals
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s fencing team defeated two out of three Division I opponents Sunday at the New Jersey Dual Meet at Princeton University. The Ducks defeated Fairleigh Dickenson and New Jersey Institute of Technology by double digits, but fell to the powerful host team. Freshman Krystal Perkins went 7-1 on the day, including a 3-0 mark against the Tigers.
