Rules
- There may be two Leagues of competition:
- A Division - May have 1 ex-varsity player.
- B Division - May not have any ex-varsity players.
- Three players are needed to start a game. Should any team not have three players ready to play at game time, a ten minute grace period will be allowed. This grace period begins at the scheduled game time, and not when the preceding game ends. If after ten minutes the team does not have enough players the game is a forfeit.
- Substitutions:
- Once a game starts no substitutions may be made.
- The only exception to the substitution rule will be for injuries. If a player is injured and cannot play, a substitute may take his/her place. Should this occur, the injured player will not be allowed to re-enter the game.
- If a team has only 3 players present and a player is injured, that player has five (5) minutes to return to play or the game will be declared a forfeit.
- The team scoring 11 points first will be declared the winner. All games must be won by at least two (2) points. Each match is the best two out of three games.
- At the start of each game team captains will flip a coin to determine which team will begin with possession of the ball. Loser of the toss will have possession of the ball for the start of the second game. If a third game is necessary, captains will again flip for possession.
- All balls will be put into play from behind the foul line. This includes fouls, turnovers, and possession changes. The non scoring team will have possession of the ball after a basket is made.
- For a jump ball situation, Alternate possession will be in place.
- No refs will be provided by IM staff
- Scores must be reported to IM staff within 24 hours of game time.
