 January 29th, 2012, the Westchester Invitational, Bayshore, NY

Last Sunday, January 29th, the Men's bowling team participated in the Westchester Invitational at Bayshore, NY. The tournament consisted of 3 doubles, 3 singles, and 10 team baker games.  Overall, the team placed a solid 3rd out of 6 teams.  Christopher Polacco and Peter Bruinooge scored highest on the team in doubles with a 1262 over their 6 games.  Individually, Peter continued to score well, accumulating the highest singles series of 605, making his all around score of 1272 place sixth in the tournament.  Overall, Joseph Cooper came in second on the team, scoring an 1191 over his 6 games.  Michael Sojka came in third on the team with an 1184 overall.  Andrew Golding, David Krier, Gregory Corradi, Christopher Polacco, and Ryley Robitaille-Zucker also had a significant contribution in the tournament.  The baker games stayed relatively consistent, ranging from 169 to 212 over the 10 games, allowing for an easy hold over third place.

December 3-4, 2011, Shippensburg Bowling Tournament, Mechanicsburg, PA

This past weekend, the Men's Bowling Team participated in the Shippensburg Bowling tournament held in Mechanicsburg, PA. Among the tough oil pattern, the team came in 21st place out of 31 teams. The best on the team was Ryley Robitaille-Zucker, with a total pinfall of 1028 over 6 games, and coming in 58th. Second was Michael Sojka, with a total pinfall of 1005 over 6 games, coming in 63rd place. Danny Duenas, Gregory Corradi, Andrew Golding, Joseph Cooper, Christopher Polacco, and David Krier all played a significant role in supporting the team, but did not bowl all 6 games, coming in 166, 136, 158, 190, 169, and 104 respectively. On the second day, it is notable that Andrew Golding, at his first tournament, stayed in all 15 baker games, and was moved to anchor position at one point when he was doing the best on the team.

October 29-30, 2011, Green And Gold Bowling Tounament, Manassas, VA

Last weekend, October 29th and 30th, The Stevens Men's Bowling Team participated in the Green and Gold bowling tournament in Manassas, VA.  Overall, the team came in 9th out of 12th.  Gregory Corradi did best on the team, coming in 13th overall with 1155 pins over 6 games, averaging 192.5.  Ryley Robitaille-Zucker came in 26th overall, with 1033 pins over 6 games, averaging 172.17. Danny Duenas came in 45th overall, with 858 pins over 5 games, averaging 171.6. Michael Sojka came in 53rd, with 702 pins over 5 games. These scores were out of a total of 77 people. In baker games, Stephen Marciniak Performed quite well, keeping the team motivated and with decent scores.  Joe Cooper played 3 games on Saturday, with a 448 total pinfall. Peter Bruinooge participated in two games on Saturday, with a total pinfall of 331.  Christopher Polacco also participated in two games, with a total pinfall of 246.

October 22-23, 2011, Pennsylvania Classic, Bellefonte, PA

Last weekend, October 22nd and 23rd, the Steven's Men's Bowling Team participated in the Penn State Classic Bowling Tournament in Bellefonte, PA. Overall, the team did well, with Ryley Robitaille placing 45th with a total pinfall of 879, Gregory Corradi placing 47th with 868, and Danny Duenas placing 50th with 851, averaging 175.8, 173.6, and 170.2 respectively. David Krier came in 2nd for high game with a 267, averaging 188 over 4 games with a pinfall of 752.  Other players included Michael Jacobellis, who averaged 180.75 over 4 games with a 723 total pinfall, and Peter Bruinooge, who had 292 pins over 2 games.  Since the tournament this year was split into a Varsity and JV squad, as opposed to the normal system where all teams compete against one another, the team placed lower than normal relative to how many teams they competed against, placing 3rd to last in the Varsity division (to be updated later this week as the official scores are posted).  Comparitively, by the end of the first day, the Mens team would have ranked second in the JV squad.  Furthermore, the Mens team did well the second day in baker games, with a 242 high game, and averaging 180.4 through 20 games.

October 15-16, 2011, Pennsylvania Classic, Lancaster, PA

The men's team competed in the Pennsylvania classic this weekend in Lancaster, PA. They came in 19th with 9 games and 6 bakers games with a series of 5541.

Peter Bruinooge did exceptionally well for this first tournament. He had the highest team series with 1146 pin fall during the first day. Michieal Sojka
had the best overall series.

October 8-9, 2011, Blue Hen Open

This weekend Steven's Mens Bowling team competed in the Blue Hen Open. The team came in 14th overall with a total pinfall of 6750 over 6 games, five people each, and 10 baker games. Michael Jacobellis had the highest game total with 1104 pins over 6 games, placing 22nd. Next was Ryley Robitaille-Zucker with a total pinfall of 1047, placing 33rd. Third on the team was Gregory Corradi with 1009 pins and coming in 37th. These three players played in all six games with no subs. After these three, Michael Sojka placed 65th placed with a total pinfall of 805 over 5 games. Danny Duenas placed 90th, accumulating 433 pins over 3 games. David Krier placed 97th with 322 pins over 2 games. Christopher Polacco placed 102 with 269 pins over 2 games. Stanley Switalski did not start/play any games, and so did not score. During the baker games, Gregory Corradi and Danny Duenas stayed in all 10 games.
