April 15, 2011, Stevens Finishes NCLL Frist Season
Taking an 11-3 victory over CCNY on April 15th, the Stevens Club Lacrosse team finalizes their first ever season with an overall record of 3-3. Stevens will be looking into playing again next fall in the National College Lacrosse League's fall tournament.

April 9, 2011, Hoboken, NJ
April 9th, 2011 DeBaun Field, Hoboken, NJ: Stevens Club Lacrosse achieves its second win of the year as they defeat Rider University in an 11-1 victory. Ryan Nepvuex, Andrew Continisio, Paddy Phelan, and Paul Mascia all picked up goals as the Ducks defense also holds strong. Captain, and Goalie Roy Byrd has his first shutout half of the season.

April 1, 2011, Stony Brook University
Stevens Club Lacrosse team picks up its first ever win against D1 Stony Brook University. Goals were scored by defensemen Brandon Hartt, Ryan Nepveux (2), Kevin Alparone, Bobby Bishop (3), Dave Formoso, and Danny Amodio. Goalies Roy Byrd and Joe Gombar get a combined 15 saves as Stevens defense holds strong to take a 9-7 win after four quarters of play.

March 25, 2011, New Brunswick, NJ
Stevens took on D1 Rutgers New Brunswick for their second home game of the season. Goalies Roy Byrd and Joe Gombar made six saves each, but Stevens suffered a 20-0 shutout loss after four quarters of play.

March 6, 2011, Hofstra University
Stevens Club Lacrosse debut against Hofstra University took place on Sunday March 6th, 2011. In their first game playing together as a team, the Stevens collectively scored 5 goals against Hofstra. Padraic Phelan, Jack Van Roden, Jason Friense and Joe Scaglione all tallied goals. In the end, however, Hofstra prevailed in a 5-13 win over Stevens.

January 20, 2011, Stevens joins NCLL
From the NCLL website:"Hoboken, New Jersey- Stevens Institute of Technology has been accepted into the National College Lacrosse League and will compete in the NY Metro Conference (NY-D2). With an enrollment of over 2,000 students, the university currently offers 25 intercollegiate sports and continues to demonstrate a commitment to the ideals of sportsmanship and the philosophy of NCAA Division III athletics. Founded in 1870, Stevens has been ranked among the Top 20 by Forbes magazine and is only minutes away from New York City. Stevens was named among the nation’s Most Connected Campuses by Princeton Review and Forbes.com for its wireless network, mobile computing program, as well as its outstanding computer science curriculum and research facilities.

The NCLL is a men’s college club lacrosse organization comprised of over 110 college teams located throughout 11 Conferences and 16 states. Founded in 1990, the NCLL is comprised of two divisions and holds two National Championships during the first weekend of May each year. The 2011 National Tournament will be held April 30 and May 1 at Ohio State University.

"As the NY Metro Conference continues to grow, it is a great asset to have Stevens Institute of Technology join the NCLL,” commented Jamie McNealey, Executive Director. "Stevens has a rich tradition of academic and athletic success and their drive have been duly noted in both arenas.”
