O'Donohue Travels to England to Complete NSCAA Masters Course
TRANMERE, England – On March 7, Stevens Institute of Technology Head Men’s Soccer Coach Tim O’Donohue traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to England for a one-week masters course, which was taught by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. During his time there, O’Donohue learned more about club and academy structure as well as coaching methodology and player development.
Daniello Selected to Compete in USILA North-South Classic
PERRY, N.Y. – On Tuesday afternoon, Stevens Institute of Technology senior defender/long-stick midfielder Nick Daniello was selected as one of 68 student-athletes to compete in the prestigious United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association North-South Classic, which will be held on Friday, May 23 at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass. Daniello will represent Stevens as a member of the South Team. This year’s contest will be part of a tripleheader. The Division III game will be played at 2 p.m. The Division I/II game will take place at 4 p.m. Then, at 7 p.m., the Boston Cannons will square off against the Rochester Rattlers in a Major League Lacrosse showdown.
Linder Selected to Play in North-South Senior All-Star Game
WEST HYANNISPORT, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association selected its participants for the 2008 IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game on Monday, and Stevens Institute of Technology senior goaltender Stephanie Linder was one of 41 players that was chosen. The game will take place on Saturday, June 14 at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.
Men's Soccer Releases Competitive Schedule for 2008 Season
HOBOKEN, N.J. – On Monday morning, Stevens Institute of Technology Head Men’s Soccer Coach Tim O'Donohue confirmed the Ducks’ schedule for the 2008 campaign. Stevens will compete in 18 regular-season games before looking to capture its second-straight Empire 8 title during the conference tournament. The Ducks are also vying for a sixth-straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.
Field Hockey Announces 2008 Schedule; Stevens Slated to Face Three Nationally-Ranked Teams From Last Year
HOBOKEN, N.J. – On Monday morning, Stevens Institute of Technology Head Field Hockey Coach Jessica Reed released the Ducks’ schedule for the upcoming 2008 season. Stevens will play in one scrimmage and 19 regular-season contests prior to the start of the Empire 8 Tournament. For the first time in the conference, the winner of the Empire 8 Championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
