TENNIS COURT RULES
- No street shoes are allowed on courts. Only tennis sneakers or sneakers with a smooth rubber sole may be worn.
- Tennis courts are to be used for tennis only and may not be used for any other purpose. Roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, hockey, etc. are strictly prohibited.
- Tennis courts are for the exclusive use of Stevens students, faculty, staff, and those with a valid community membership I.D.
- Gates shall be closed while playing.
- All tennis court rules, regulations and courtesies shall be observed.
- No pets are allowed on courts.
- No private instructions and classes are allowed without written permission from the Stevens Athletic Department.
- Sitting, pushing or pulling on tennis nets is prohibited.
- Climbing on, hitting or kicking balls into the fence is prohibited.
- Stevens Varsity Tennis, Intramural Tennis programs and Physical Education classes have priority for tennis court usage.
- Please pick up any trash or items no longer needed when finished playing.
- When courts are locked, please see the Schaefer Athletic Center front desk attendant for assistance.
- Tennis courts are only to be played on when playing surface is dry. If rain, ice, or snow is on the surface you are not permitted to use them.

DeBaun Field Rules
1. Use of De Baun Field is allowed only through prior arrangement with the Stevens Institute of
Technology Department of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation. Violations of this
directive will be considered as “defiant trespass “ and so prosecuted
2. Absolutely no chewing gum, tobacco products, alcohol, food/drink or animals allowed on the
field at any time. Violators are subject to immediate ejection from premises.
3. Do not litter on field. Litterers are subject to fines and ejection from facility.
4. Only team personnel, officials and Stevens Athletics staff will be allowed on field during
intercollegiate contests.
5. Violators of any rule/regulation are subject to University disciplinary action and will be held
financially responsible for damages and repairs.
Fitness Center Rules
1. All students, staff, and faculty must present a valid Stevens ID to enter the fitness center.
Anyone who fails to produce their ID card will not be permitted to enter the fitness center.
2. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the fitness center or have a parent or guardian
sign the appropriate waiver form.
3. Proper work out attire is required. This includes shirt, shorts/pants and sneakers.
4. Jeans, sandals, work-boots, and street clothes are NOT PERMITTED.
5. Gym bags, coats, laptops and other personal belongings are not permitted in the fitness
center.
6. Foul language and horseplay are not allowed.
7. Any individual excessively dropping the weights or mistreating the equipment will be asked to
leave. (No dropping the weights please find a spotter or use less weight).
8. Weights and equipment must be returned to their proper place after use.
9. Only the fitness center staff is allowed to operate the radio. Requests should not be made
to the staff.

Fitness
Center members must clean machines after use. Paper towels
and cleaning solution are available throughout the gym.
