HOBOKEN, N.J. (December 4, 2012) – After compiling 331 votes over a two-plus week span, the new Stevens Institute of Technology cheering section will be called the “Quack Pack.” Voting began on November 18 and now a new design for the cheering section will be conducted, and the new logo will be revealed on December 11.

With 136 votes or 41-percent, voters spoke by a significant margin for “Quack Pack.” There was a close race for second between “Quack Attack” and “Attila's Army”, with “Quack Attack” holding a slim total of 85 votes to 81. Fourth was “Castle Point Crazies” with nine percent of the votes (29 total votes).

Please send all design ideas to Justin Lutes (jlutes@stevens.edu) by the 10th and the Stevens promotions committee will select the winning design the following day. Ideas can be submitted via email or brought up to the fourth floor of the Schaefer Athletic Center next to the main office. The creator of the winning logo will be awarded with a gift card to the campus store in time for the winter break. Logo designs are open to any Duck enthusiasts.

As a reminder, those who wish to join the cheering section will receive coupons at home sporting events, early access to promotional giveaways and preferred seating at the De Baun Athletic Complex, Canavan Arena and Walker Gymnasium.
