HOBOKEN, N.J. (May 2, 2016) – After a month long road trip, the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team returns home Tuesday to take on No. 12/No. 22 Keystone College.

WEEKEND RECAP
The Ducks swept a three game series against Houghton College, and concluded Empire 8 Conference play with a 14-4 mark.
KEYSTONE REPORT
The Giants enter the game with a 27-8 overall record, and are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Centenary College on Saturday. Louis Reyes leads the team with a .386 batting average while Felix Baez has fanned 83 in 66 2/3 innings.
AWARD SEASON
Junior
Zeph Walters was named the Empire 8 Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday, after tossing a complete game shutout against Houghton. Walters allowed two hits while striking out nine.
ROAD WARRIORS
The Ducks concluded their 14 game road swing with an 11-3 mark, including four straight victories.
HISTORY IN THE MAKING
Senior
Jayson Yano is two hits away from tying the career hits record at Stevens. Adam Sandt set the record of 208 from 2004-07. Yano entered the year eighth all-time with 148.
WHIFF!
The Duck pitchers managed to strikeout 26 Houghton hitters over the three games while surrendering only seven walks.

With game deadlocked at 0-0 in the seventh inning, freshman
Carlos Leon delivered a go-ahead RBI single to push Ducks in front.

Stevens matched its season-high for runs on Sunday, plating 15 runs in the nightcap. On April 17, the Ducks also tallied 15 runs in a 10 inning victory over Elmira College.
NO. 2
With the 14-4 record in the Empire 8, Stevens has clinched the No. 2 seed in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament next weekend. St. John Fisher has nailed down the No. 1 seed, while Ithaca College is locked into the No. 3 seed.
