High School: earned National, Science, Math, English, Spanish, and Social Studies Honor Society status...was also the officer of the National Science Honor Society...Rotary Club of Central Florida Student of the Month Award...AP Scholar Award...was on the High School Leadership Team...played for coach David Holbrook at Bishop Moore Catholic High School... received the Scholar-Athlete Award...led team in hitting (.450)... played summer baseball for FTB Clutch under coach Mike Naylor and also for CFBL Elite under coach Jim Boghos...attended several prospect camps including ones held by Duke, Wake Forest, and Rice...competed in several top exposure events and tournaments including Prospect Wire, Perfect Game, Under Armour, Prospect Select, ESPN Rise Games, Steinbrenner Wood Bat Classic, and USA Baseball Junior Olympics...also competed in Football for Bishop Moore.
 
Personal: son of Victor and Nini Toro...has three older sisters named Cheryl Richards, Elaine Gonzalez-Otero, and Giselle Gonzalez-Lores...dad played college baseball at The University of Texas-Arlington (1978-1981)...recognized as an Eagle Scout...planning on majoring in Chemical Biology with a Pre-Medicine track...picked Stevens because of its mixture of a quality education with a competitive athletic atmosphere and because he felt it was the best environment to be pushed to his limits both on and off the field and become best prepared for the workforce...top MLB team and player are the Boston Red Sox and Roberto Clemente...favorite book is Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card...top movie is Gladiator...enjoys video games, camping, kayaking/canoeing, billiards, hanging out with friends, fishing, and listening to music.
 
Summer Collegiate Baseball:  signed contract to play his summer baseball in 2013 for the Pompano Beach Clippers of the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League.
