Coach Aldins says: "Garrett had a solid season in 2016 as our regular #2 hitter and is primed to take his game to new levels his senior year. Garrett has also done a great job being a leader on our team off-the-field."

2017: Stevens Baseball’s Coaches Award winner…appeared in 31 gmaes and started 19...3rd on the team in sacrifice flies (2) and sacrifice bunts (3)...combined to go 4-for-9 (R, 2 2B, RBI, BB) in a doubleheader vs. RPI (3/5)…went 1-for-3 vs. New Paltz (3/19)…1-for-3 (R, SH) vs. Houghton (3/24)…went 1-for-3 in the 2nd game of a doubleheader vs. Houghton (3/25)…1-for-3 vs. Ithaca (4/1)…had a walkoff walk in the bottom of the 13th inning in the 2nd game of a doubleheader vs. #22/15 St. John Fisher (4/29)…went 1-for-2 (RBI, SF) vs. #22/15 St. John Fisher (4/30)…recorded a successful suicide squeeze bunt in his only plate appearance in an Empire 8 Tournament game vs. #22/14 St. John Fisher (5/11).

Personal: son of Geoff Wells and Janet Ray...has a sister, Morgan, that attends the University of Portland...dad was collegiate pitcher for University of Washington...planning on majoring in Business & Technology...picked Stevens because he thought the school was a great fit and so that he could continue playing the sport that he loves...top MLB team and player are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Yasiel Puig...favorite book is Freakonomics...top movie is Old School...enjoys playing the bass guitar in his spare time.

Summer Internships/Jobs: interned at Fred Alger Management, a privately owned investment manager, in summer 2016,

Summer Collegiate Baseball: playing his 2016 summer baseball for the South Bergen Bullets of the Metropolitan League (N.J.)...signed contract to play his summer ball in 2015 for the Palm Beach Xtreme of the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League...played his summer ball in 2014 for the Around the Horn Grizzlies of the Western Baseball Association.
