Coach Aldins says: Donny swung the bat well during our fall season and will be one of the candidates in the mix for starting assignments in the infield.

2011: appeared in 10 games and started nine...posted a .194 batting average in 31 at bats...went 1-for-3 with an RBI vs. Kean (2/23)...1-for-2 in the first game of a conference doubleheader vs. St. John Fisher (4/3)...went 2-for-6 (R, SB) vs. Vassar (4/20).

2010: appeared in seven games and started 1...batted .143 in seven at bats...came in as a pinch hitter and recorded a base hit and scored a run in his only bat vs. FDU-Florham (5/15).

High School: played for coach Paul Mazzuca at Adlai E. Stevenson…competed for the Illinois Express summer program, which compiled a 38-5 record under coach Brian Buccarelli...played for Team USA and won a bronze medal at the Pan Am games in Aruba...has competed in the NABF and CABA World Series.

Summer Collegiate Baseball: competed for Mendham Legion in 2010 and helped his team to a county championship...also competes for the Mendham collegiate team and helped them capture a Northern New Jersey Conference championship.

Personal: son of Kevin and Laura Donovan…has a brother named Ryan and a sister Kathleen…dad played college baseball…majoring in Chemical Engineering…born 5/31/91…top MLB team and player are the Boston Red Sox and Dustin Pedroia…favorite book and movie are Josh Hamilton’s biography and The Departed…enjoys playing basketball, football, shooting pool, and video games.
