Men's Golf Looking to Break Out in 2010-11
HOBOKEN, N.J. - The 2010 season marks the start of the fifth varsity campaign for the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s golf team. The mix of returning experienced players and a talented incoming freshmen class has the team in good position to improve on last year’s performance. The group will also look to keep up the team’s traditional stellar academic performance, which included a team GPA of 3.47 in the spring 2010 semester and five student-athletes boasting GPAs between 3.66 and 3.94.
Men's Golf Ends Season at Empire 8's
HUMMEL'S WHARF, Pa. - The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team wrapped up its spring season with a seventh place finish at the Empire 8 Championships at Susquehanna Valley Country Club. In total, the team scored a 1,408 over the four rounds of the tournament.
Men's Golf Completes Third Round of Empire 8's
HUMMEL’S WHARF, Pa. – Tom Tritt posted the lowest score on Saturday for the Stevens Institute of Technology golf team at the Empire 8 Championship, held for the spring rounds at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. Host Susquehanna University leads the 72-hole tournament by 10 strokes over St. John Fisher College heading into Sunday’s final round of play. The Ducks totaled 359 strokes total for the day, and will wrap up their spring season with Sunday’s round.
Golf Bested by F.D.U.
MORRISTOWN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s golf team was outshot 338-313 by Farleigh Dickenson University-Florham in dual match action Monday afternoon. Scott Reardon had the best finish for the Ducks at 79, while Shamus Lahman (Galloway, N.J.) posted the best score of the day at 77 on the par-70 Morris County Golf Club.
Stevens Golf Plays High Bridge Hills
HIGH BRIDGE, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s golf team placed fourth at the Centenary College tournament of Friday, posting a team score of 336 on the day. SUNY Farmingdale won the team title with their score of 305, and Masanao Maruyama of the Rams was the individual championship with his +2 74. Sophomore John Ziegler posted the lowest round for Stevens at 81.
