Two From Men's Lacrosse Honored as Preseason All-Americans in Lacrosse Yearbook '10
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior goalkeeper Dave Decker and junior defenseman Zach McHugh were both honored in Lacrosse Magazine’s Yearbook ’10. Decker was named the Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year and a first-team preseason All-American, while McHugh was tabbed a preseason honorable mention All-American. Both players were preseason all-conference as well, and the Ducks were predicted to take third in the Empire 8 behind Ithaca College and Nazareth College.
Men's Lacrosse Announces 2010 Captains
HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s lacrosse coaching staff announced its 2010 captains on Tuesday. Senior midfielder Bobby Steinhauser, junior defenseman Zach McHugh, and junior goalkeeper Dave Decker got the nods and will be looked upon to lead the Ducks throughout the 2010 season.
Peluso Inducted into US Lacrosse Greater Rochester Hall of Fame
HOBOKEN, N.Y. – Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Gene Peluso will be inducted into the United States Lacrosse Greater Rochester Hall of Fame on Friday, November 6. Peluso, formerly the Rochester Institute of Technology head coach, played collegiately at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. and helped lead his team to the NCAA Division III semifinals. Announced as the head coach at Stevens on August 10, the 19th coach in the history of the program will look to lead Stevens to its first conference title in three years this spring.
Men's Lacrosse Releases Challenging 2010 Schedule
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Head Coach Gene Peluso and the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s lacrosse program released the 2010 schedule on Thursday afternoon. The schedule features four teams that were in the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship field and six teams that were ranked nationally last season. The Ducks, who were the 2009 ECAC Metro/South Champions, will open up with a game at Muhlenberg College on February 20.
Peluso Announces 2010 Men's Lacrosse Coaching Staff
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Stevens Institute of Technology Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Gene Peluso announced the 2010 coaching staff on Friday morning. Peluso will have three new faces in Doug Sage, Andrew DeCicco, and Eric Koch and a two-year veteran in Matt Madalon guiding the Ducks next season as they eye a return trip the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Championship.
