Freshman Luna Turns in All-ECAC Performance at 2009 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s track and field team competed at the 2009 ECAC Championships this past weekend and freshman Sebastian Luna Jr. left as the Ducks’ lone All-ECAC performer after taking seventh place in the javelin throw. The Ducks totaled two team points at the championships as several other athletes narrowly missed All-ECAC.
Men's Track and Field Competes at Lion Invitational
EWING, N.J. – On Saturday at the Lion Invitational in Ewing, N.J., the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s track and field braved very warm weather and got several strong individual performances in the process. Three athletes turned in personal-best marks as the team nears competition at the 2009 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
Men's Track and Field Takes Third at 2009 Empire 8 Championships
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s outdoor track and field team took third of five at the 2009 Empire 8 Championships this past weekend at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. The Ducks totaled 76 team points as Ithaca College repeated as conference champions with a team total of 222. Rochester Institute of Technology finished a close second with 186 points, and Alfred University was fourth and Nazareth was fifth.
Men's Outdoor Track and Field Competes in New Jersey Invitational at TCNJ
EWING, N.J. – This past weekend at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J., the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s track and field team competed at the New Jersey Invitational and got several strong performances in adverse conditions. Sophomore Kevin Morgera set a new school-record in the 400-meter hurdles, carding a 56.83, and senior Trevor Currie qualified for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in the 100-meter dash.
Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekend Recap
HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s track and field team had several athletes compete at two different events this past weekend. The Ducks participated in the Sam Howell Memorial Invitational at Princeton University on Friday and the Springfield College Season Opener in Springfield, Mass. on Saturday. Sophomore Nicholas Lowe led the way for Stevens on Saturday, qualifying for the ECAC’s in the long jump and winning the triple jump.
