Swimming Programs and Four Individuals Honored as CSCAA Scholar All-Americans
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s and women’s swimming programs were recognized by the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America as 2010 Scholar All-American Teams, the organization announced recently. In addition, eight individuals from the two Duck programs were also named Scholar All-Americans by the Association.
Hu and Wilson of Mens Swimming Compete at US Nationals
HOBOKEN, N.J. – This past week, sophomore John Hu and senior Evan Wilson of the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team competed in the United States Conoco Phillips National Championships at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. Hu, who was an All-American for the Ducks in 2009-10, competed in the 200-meter individual medley. Wilson, also an All-American, swam in the 400-meter individual medley. The event served as trials for numerous events, including the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Irvine August 18-21. The high-point winners of the meet were Ryan Lochte of Gator Swim Club and Missy Franklin of Colorado Stars.
Hu and Wilson Receive Top Honors from Empire 8
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Freshman John Hu and junior Evan Wilson of the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team were honored by the Empire 8 on Wednesday evening. Hu was named the conference’s Rookie of the Year, while Wilson was named the Swimmer of the Year. The duo helped the Ducks to a 17th-place finish at the NCAA’s, and the program’s first-ever Empire 8 Swimming and Diving Championship.
Men's Swimming NCAA Recap; Hu, Wilson, Benham Lead Ducks to 17th-Place Finish
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior Evan Wilson, freshman Alex Benham, and freshman John Hu led the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team to a 17th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The finish was by far the best in the history of the program as the trio combined to earn the Ducks a team total of 52.5 points.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team finished 17th in the nation at the NCAA’s this past week. The Ducks earned a total of 52.5 points and the placement is by far the best in the history of the program. Kenyon College won the national title for the 31st-straight year.
