Wilson Chosen as Empire 8 Rookie of the Year
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Empire 8 recently announced its award-winners for swimming for 2007-08, and Stevens Institute of Technology freshman Evan Wilson was selected as the rookie of the year by the coaches of the league. This marks his second high honor from the Empire 8 as Wilson was named the co-rookie of the meet during the conference championships.

OXFORD, Ohio - The 2008 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships concluded on Saturday afternoon from the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio, and Stevens Institute of Technology freshman Evan Wilson came in 21st-place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:10.09. He entered the event seeded 14th out of 22 swimmers.
Wilson Finishes 14th in 400-Yard Individual Medley at NCAA's; Becomes First All-American in Program History
OXFORD, Ohio – On Friday, freshman Evan Wilson competed in the 400-yard individual medley at Day Two of the 2008 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. He clocked a mark of 4:05.30 in the consolation finals, which was good enough for a sixth-place finish. Overall, Wilson came in 14th in the event. With that, he became the first NCAA All-American in the history of the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming program.

Nixon Aquatic Center in Oxford, Ohio, and Stevens Institute of Technology freshman Evan Wilson finished in 23rd-place in the 500-yard freestyle. He came into the event seeded 35th out of 35 swimmers.
Men's Swimming Puts Together Best Season-To-Date in 2007-08
HOBOKEN, N.J. – During the 2007-08 campaign, the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team had its best season in program history as it posted a perfect dual-meet record of 6-0. Along the way, the Ducks broke 14 of the school’s 19 records and had several swimmers notch top finishes at the Empire 8 Championships. In addition, freshman Evan Wilson became the first national qualifier since the sport was brought back to Hoboken in 2002.
