HOBOKEN, N.J. – On Tuesday's for the remainder of the 2011-12 men’s swimming season, sophomore honorable mention All-American Joe Huyett will sit down with Rob Kulish for the Men’s Swimming Video Blog. Joe will update viewers on the latest men’s swimming news and then discuss a variety of topics ranging from “Managing Time,” to “Hoboken,” to his “Best of Stevens.” In Episode 6, Huyett talks about the team's trip to Puerto Rico, academic excellence and the upcoming dual-meet with No. 7 The College of New Jersey.
John Hu Named Empire 8 Men's Swimmer of the Week
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior John Hu of the No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team was named the Empire 8 Swimmer of the Week on Monday for his performance in dual-meets against SUNY New Paltz and The College of New Jersey. It is the third time Hu has been named the conference’s Swimmer of the Week this season and the fourth time a Duck has received the honor.
Men's Swimming Falls to No. 7 TCNJ
HOBOKEN, N.J. - The No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team was defeated by No. 7 The College of New Jersey, 154-108 on Sunday afternoon at the De Baun Aquatic Center in Hoboken, N.J. The loss drops the Ducks to 5-2 overall, while the win moves the Lions to 9-1. Junior John Hu led Stevens with three individual wins on the day.
Sixth-Ranked Mens Swimming Downs New Paltz
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Freshman Carlos Blandon won two events to lead the No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team to a 120-82 win at SUNY New Paltz on Saturday afternoon. The win moves the Ducks record to 5-1 in dual-meets, and they will host No. 7 The College of New Jersey Sunday at the De Baun Aquatic Center.
Swimming Duck Country Set for Sunday vs. Nationally-Ranked TCNJ
HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology swimming programs will host their annual Duck Country events on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the De Baun Aquatic Center versus national power The College of New Jersey. The Duck women come in ranked 11th in the nation while the Lions are No. 10. The Stevens and TCNJ men are ranked Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. The first 50 Stevens fans in attendance will receive free t-shirts.
