Tasaki, Zeevy Lead Men's Tennis To Win Over Connecticut College
ORLANDO, Fla. – Freshman Shota Tasaki paced the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team in a 8-1 victory over Connecticut College in Orlando, Fla. with a 6-3, 6-1, triumph over junior Trevor Prophet in top-flight singles. Stevens junior Arik Zeevy paired with freshman Chris Rosensteel for an 8-4 No. 1 doubles win.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Junior Arik Zeevy went 2-0, scoring a decisive, 6-1, 6-2 victory in second-flight singles and a 7-6 win in No. 1 doubles to lead the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team to a 9-0 sweep of Babson College to open play at its annual spring trip to Orlando, Fla. The Ducks, now 2-1 on the season, will face Springfield College later this evening.
Men's Tennis Downs Haverford In Spring Dual-Match Opener
HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology, ranked 12th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) most recent Northeast Region poll, capped its first dual-match win of the spring season, downing the ITA’s Atlantic South No. 9 Haverford College, 6-3, at the Gary Lutnick Tennis and Track Center in the Alumni Field House at Haverford, Pa. The Ducks, who fell to ITA Northeast Region No. 11 Vassar during the fall, even their dual-match tally to 1-1 on the year.
Men's Tennis Sets Sights On Empire 8 Title
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Behind fifth-year head coach Steve Gachko, the Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team, ranked 12th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Region after a stellar fall season, enters the spring campaign with its sights set on its reclaiming the Empire 8 title for the first time since 2008. The Ducks, who will add a talented corps of newcomers to eight returnees from last season’s 14-5 squad, stand poised to improve upon 2009’s 8-1 conference mark and Empire 8 championship match berth.
Men's Tennis Impresses At Drew Invitational
HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team opened up its spring season in impressive fashion, posting a 27-3 mark at the two-day Drew University Invitational in Madison, N.J. The Ducks went 20-0 against Roger and Williams University and Wilkes University, while posting a 7-3 mark against the host Rangers. Stevens went 15-2 on the first day of the competition, which featured two singles rounds and a doubles round, while going 12-1 in day two in a pair of doubles rounds and an additional singles round.
