Dudek Earns All-Met Basketball Writers Association Accolades
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – For the second year in a row, senior point guard Dani Dudek earned All-Metropolitan Division III Basketball Writers Association first-team honors. She helped to guide the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team to it’s first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, including a first round win over the University of Mary Washington.
Dudek Named to ECAC Division III Upstate First-Team
CAPE COD, Mass. – Senior point guard Dani Dudek of the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team has been piling up the awards after a memorable season where she helped to guide the Ducks to their first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament appearance. Earlier today, Dudek was named to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Upstate First-Team. She was one of 10 players that have been named a 2008-09 ECAC all-star. Dudek earned ECAC Upstate Player of the Week honors earlier this season. Stevens finished 23-6 and claimed this year’s Empire 8 title to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship.
Dudek Adds All-America Accolades to Resume
STERLING, Va. – Senior point guard Dani Dudek of the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team was recently named a second-team D3Hoops.com All-American and an honorable mention All-America by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Last Week, Dudek earned D3Hoops.com all-region (east) accolades for her outstanding season in her final year as a Duck. Dudek helped to guide Stevens to its best finish in the program’s 13-year existence. The Ducks went 23-6, a win shy of tying the school record for wins, as Stevens qualified for the Division III NCAA Tournament for the first-time ever after it claimed the 2009 Empire 8 Championship over Ithaca College.

Dudek Finalist for WBCA All-America Team
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, in cooperation with State Farm, recently announced the finalists for the 2009 State Farm Coaches’ All-America Basketball Team for the NCAA as senior point guard Dani Dudek of Stevens Institute of Technology is one of 42 finalists on this year’s ballot. This marks the second season that Dudek has been recognized by the WBCA for the prestigious honor. The 42 finalists, who are voted upon by the WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team to be released next Thursday.
