Weatherall Named Head Equestrian Coach; Zwaan Makes Move to Head Trainer
HOBOKEN, N.J. – On Monday, Stevens Institute of Technology Director of Athletics Russell Rogers announced that Katie Weatherallhas been named the new head coach of the Stevens equestrian program. Her appointment to the position allows former head coach Patti Zwaan to become the program’s head trainer.
Olsen and Maglaras Finish Season at Zone Championship Show in Saratoga Springs
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sophomore Kahri Olsen finished in fourth place out of 12 riders in the intermediate fences at the Zone Championship Show on Saturday at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Because she was not one of the top two riders in the event, Olsen did not advance to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show. Olsen also rode in the open flat but did not place.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – For the second time in as many years, sophomore Kahri Olsen will represent the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone Championship Show following a solid day of riding at the Regional Championship Show on Sunday at the Centenary College Equestrian Center in Long Valley, N.J. Olsen qualified for Zones in both intermediate fences and open flat. Meanwhile, sophomore Constance Maglaras advanced to Zones in the walk-trot.
Equestrian Team Competes at All-Region Show; Ducks to Send Five Riders to Regional Championship on Sunday
READINGTON, N.J. – Sophomore Constance Maglaras and freshman Angela Parriott both finished in second place in their respective class as the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team finished in a three-way tie for ninth place at the All-Region Show on Saturday at Briarwood Farm in Readington, N.J. Drew University captured first overall with a total team score of 40 points.
Garofalo's Strong Rides Help Equestrian Team to Fourth-Place Finish at William Paterson Show
LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Sophomore Rosemary Garofalo tallied 10 individual points in leading the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team to a fourth-place finish out of 12 teams on Saturday during the William Paterson University Show at the Centenary College Equestrian Center in Long Valley, N.J. Garofalo finished in first place in her intermediate flat class. She also placed fourth in intermediate over fences.
