Olsen Closes out Stevens Equestrian Season at Zone Regional Championship Show
HOBOKEN, N.J. – This past weekend, Stevens Institute of Technology junior Kahri Olsen closed out the Stevens equestrian season by competing at the Zone Regional Championship Show at the Centenary College Equestrian Center. Olsen competed in open fences but was unable to place and therefore will not advance to the National Championship Show later this month. The standout earned her way to Zones with a fantastic second-place finish at the Regional Championship show the previous weekend.
Stevens Equestrian Competes at Regional Championship Show
READINGTON, N.J. – Members of the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team competed at the Regional Championship Show at Briarwood Farm in Readington, N.J. on Sunday afternoon. Junior standout Kahri Olsen had the best finish of the day for Stevens, taking second in the open fences. She will represent the team at Zone Championship Show on April 4 at the Centenary College Equestrian Center.
Parriott Takes First in Novice Fences as Equestrian Places Fifth at William Paterson Show
WAYNE, N.J. – On Saturday, the Stevens Institute of Technology Equestrian team finished fifth of ten at the William Paterson University Horse Show in Long Valley, N.J. Stevens finished with 26 team points, and Centenary College won the show with total of 33. SUNY New Paltz finished second and was followed by Sarah Lawrence College and William Paterson in third as the United States Military Academy came in fourth. Sophomore Angela Parriott had the best finish for the Ducks, placing first in the novice fences and earning seven team points.
Equestrian Opens Spring Season with Fourth-Place Finish at SUNY New Paltz Show
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team opened its spring season with a fourth-place finish at the SUNY New Paltz Show on Saturday afternoon. Stevens placed fourth of 11 teams, earning a total of 25 team points. New Paltz won the show with 42 points and Centenary College was second with 41. Junior Kahri Olsen earned the top spot in the open fences to lead the Stevens point riders.
Equestrian Team Closes out Fall Season at Marist Show
Lagrangeville, N.Y. – Sophomore Angela Parriott earned a team-best seven points as the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team closed out the fall season by tying for ninth place out of 11 teams at the Marist College Show on Saturday at the Crosswinds Equestrian Center in Lagrangeville, N.Y. Parriott placed second in novice fences and earned two points for her fifth-place showing in novice flat.
