Equestrian is Reserve High Point College as Team Hosts Stevens Show; Ducks Take Third in Nightcap of Rare Doubleheader
LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Freshman Jessica Spanier (Chester, N.J.) had an unprecedented three first-place rides as the Stevens Institute of Technology participated in two shows on Sunday, taking reserve high point college honors as the team hosted the Stevens Show. The Ducks also took third at the William Patterson Show held at the same venue.
DUCK COUNTRY: Equestrian to Host Stevens Show Saturday
LONG VALLEY, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team will host its annual Duck Country event this Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Centenary College Equestrian Center in Long Valley, N.J. Fans making the trip will be treated to two shows in one, as William Patterson University will host its show concurrently at the same venue. The equestrian team is enjoying one of its finest seasons and has already been honored as the reserve high point college at the All-Region Extravaganza.
Plotzker and Policari have First-Place Point Rides as Equestrian Takes Fourth
READINGTON, N.J. – Senior Michelle Plotzker (Fairport, N.Y.) and freshman Alexa Policari (Tinton Falls, N.J.) placed first in walk-trot and novice fences, respectively, as the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team took fourth out of 11 schools at the SUNY-New Paltz Show on Sunday. With the seven points earned, Plotzker will be promoted to the walk-trot-canter division and has qualified for regionals.
Equestrian Performs in Pennsylvania
KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. – Senior Julia Cederroth (Westfield, N.J.) turned in a first-place point ride at walk-trot-canter for the Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team as the Ducks rode in their lone out-of-state show of the regular season on Sunday. With her seven points, Cederroth has now qualified for IHSA Regionals and has been promoted from the walk-trot-canter division.
Two Ducks Have First-Place Rides as Stevens Finishes Fourth at Army
LONG VALLEY, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology equestrian team used first-place rides from freshmen Carley Mattucci (Lafayette, N.J.) and Alexa Policari (Tinton Falls, N.J.) to engineer a fourth-place finish at the United States Military Academy Show on Sunday. Mattucci’s ride was at intermediate over fences and Policari was at novice over fences, and both were point rides for the Ducks.
