Cross Country and Track and Field Programs Honored as National All-Academic Teams by USTFCCCA
NEW ORLEANS, La. – All six Stevens Institute of Technology track and field and cross country programs were honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic teams for the 2009-10 school year. The USTFCCCA announced both its team and individual awards this week, with Stevens fifth-year graduate student Salme Cook and freshman Maggie Kowalska named 2010 Division III Track & Field All-Academic Honorees. In addition to their success in the classroom, Cook and Kowalska were also the first two Stevens student-athletes in history to compete at the NCAA Championships this past season.
Cook Wins 500-meters, Python All-ECAC for Women's Track
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s indoor track and field team got two standout individual performances from senior Salme Cook and sophomore Grace Python, as well as a new school-record performance turned in by the 4x800-meter relay team.

Women's Indoor Track Breaks Two Records, Nikish Wins Two Events
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s indoor track team had a solid day at the Seton Hall Games on Sunday, with Grace Python and Jenny Wehof each breaking their own school records in the weight throw and 60-meter hurdles, respectively. Freshman Mary Nikish had a breakout day, winning both the 200- and 400-meter races.
Women's Indoor Track Qualifies Three for ECAC's with Three New School Records
MANHATTAN – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s indoor track team got three standout performances on Friday where existing school records were shattered at the New York University Fastrack Invitational in New York. The three records in the 800-, 1,000- and 4x400-meter races were broken by an average of over eight seconds each, a remarkable feat for the Ducks.
