SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 16, 2010) – The No. 8 Stevens Institute of Technology women’s lacrosse team won its fourth-straight game to start the 2010 campaign, downing SUNY Oswego by a 15-8 final on Tuesday afternoon at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Sophomore Jenna Scheibling had three goals and an assist, junior Leah Wasserman tallied three scores and notched two helpers, and senior captain Alyssa Pigott recorded a team-high four goals. Junior Christine Smith also found the back of the net three times for the Ducks.

The Ducks (4-0) jumped out to a 4-0 lead and went into the half with a 12-3 advantage. Though Oswego (0-1) outscored Stevens 5-3 in the second stanza, the Ducks were never threatened in the victory.

Stevens will enjoy another day in San Antonio before returning to Hoboken. The Ducks will return to action on Monday, March 22 when they host No. 6 Colby College in a big game at the De Baun Athletic Complex.
