Leadership and Depth Pushes Women's Swimming to Strong Season in 2007-08
HOBOKEN, N.J. – In 2007-08, the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team had a record-setting year as it registered a dual-meet mark of 5-1. The Ducks also shattered 15 school records and notched Top-10 finishes at the ECAC and Empire 8 Championships.
Czernik and Chew Take Home All-Empire 8 Second-Team Honors; Woo Named Sportswoman of the Year
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Empire 8 released its all-conference selections for women’s swimming on Monday afternoon, and Stevens Institute of Technology sophomore Gabrielle Czernik as well as freshman Mary Chew notched second-team accolades. Czernik received the award for her performance during the 100-yard backstroke, while Chew picked up honors for the 200-yard backstroke.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – One day after breaking four school records, the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team set a trio of new marks on Friday afternoon at Nottingham High School in Syracuse, N.Y. during Day Two of the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association/Empire 8 Championships. After today’s showing, the Ducks moved up a spot in the overall standings to fifth place with a score of 438.
