Bertucci, Grobeis, Barito, and Paul Named to CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large Teams
HOBOKEN, N.J. – Four different Stevens Institute of Technology student-athletes were named CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large. Senior Michael Bertucci and sophomore Brandt Grobeis of the men’s volleyball team were named to the first– and second-team respectively. Sophomore Laura Barito of the women’s swimming team was a second-team choice, and senior Hillary Paul of the field hockey team was named to the third-team.
Swimming Closes Out 2009 Season with Impressive Performances at NCAA's
HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology swimming program closed out an incredible 2009 season this past weekend on the Division III NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. The women’s team sent seven swimmers and the men’s team sent sophomore Evan Wilson. All eight swimmers left as All-Americans or honorable mention All-Americans, and the women finished the four-day event 11th in the nation.
Women's Swimming Strong on Final Day of NCAA's; Ducks Finish 11th Nationally
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team completed competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. on Saturday. The 400-yard freestyle relay team finished sixth overall, good for All-American status, and sophomore Laura Barito set a new school-record and finished ninth in the 100-yard freestyle. As a team, the Ducks finished with 100.5 points, good for 11th in the country.
800-free Relay Takes 12th as Women's Swimming Sits in 12th Place Heading into Final Day of Competition at NCAA's
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Stevens Institute of Technology 800-yard freestyle relay team placed 12th and set a new school-record as the women’s swimming team is currently in 12th place heading into the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. Junior Stephanie Miller finished 31st in the 100-yard breaststroke and also set a new school-record.
Women's Swimming in 11th after Two Days at NCAA's; Two School-Records Set in Relay Events
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team set two new school-records in relay events and is currently in 11th place at the 2009 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Stevens has earned 55.5 team points and will return to action on Friday for third day of competition at the four-day championships.
