Junior co-captain Kendra Appleheimer and freshman Alexandra Handel would then stake Stevens to a 2-0 advantage with an 8-3 win in No. 3 doubles. Portner and Kingman completed the sweep in doubles with an 8-4 victory in No. 1 doubles over Griffin Currie (Erie, Pa.) and Autumn McLain (Oneida, N.Y.).

Kingman would then follow suit with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Currie in top-flight singles, before Alfred notched its first win of the day on Seidewand's victory over Appleheimer in fourth-flight singles, making it 6-1.

Portner would increase the Stevens margin with a 3-6, 7-6, 10-5, come-from-behind victory over Foster, before Handel closed the door on Alfred with a 6-3, 6-4 win in sixth-flight singles.
