Women's Cross Country Wraps Up Season at St. Lawrence
CANTON, N.Y. – At the 2011 NCAA Regionals hosted by St. Lawrence University, the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s cross country team ended their season on the 6K course, placing 30th overall as a team. St. Lawrence was the top team at the meet with 77 total points.
Castroagudin Named All-Conference for Women's Cross Country
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Empire 8 Conference released its All-Conference teams after the conclusion of Saturday’s Empire 8 Championship race in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and one Stevens Institute of Technology women’s cross country runner, sophomore Katie Castroagudin earned a spot on the second team.
Women's Cross Country Takes Fourth at E8 Championships
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – At the 2011 Empire 8 Conference Championships, the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s cross country team finished fourth out of seven teams on the 3.04-mile course at Saratoga Springs State Park on Saturday morning, October 29. The Ducks totaled 105 points, while the conference champions, Ithaca College, had 19 points.
Women's Cross Country Place Eighth at CTC Championships
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – At Liberty State Park on October 15, the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s cross country team placed eighth overall out of 15 schools on the 5K course in the multi-divisional race in the Collegiate Track Conference Championships. Rowan University claimed top honors as a team with 22 points.
Laura Barito Wins CAANJ Female Student-Athlete of the Year
SOMERSET, N.J. – Two-sport national champion Laura Barito of Stevens Institute of Technology was named the 2011 Collegiate Athletic Administrators of New Jersey’s Female Student-Athlete of the Year, the organization announced at its annual awards luncheon on Thursday morning. Barito graduated from Stevens in 2011 with a 3.85 grade point average in mechanical engineering and was a national champion in both the NCAA swimming 50-yard freestyle and the NCAA track 400-meter hurdles in her senior season.
