Alison Bewalder, Head Athletic Trainer

Alison Bewalder is in her sixth year as a member of the Office of Sports Medicine at Stevens Institute of Technology. Hired in August of 2004 as an assistant athletic trainer, Bewalder was promoted to acting head athletic trainer in October of 2005. She was formally named the head athletic trainer during the 2007-08 academic year. Bewalder currently oversees two additional full-time athletic trainers.

Prior to joining the staff at Stevens, Bewalder served as the head athletic trainer at the 76ers Overnight Basketball Camp in Stroudsburg, Pa. At that camp, she was responsible for providing emergency medical care, supervising two student trainers, and evaluating all injuries. Bewalder was also a graduate assistant trainer at the University of Pittsburgh for two years.

A 2002 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, Bewalder earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. She completed her master’s degree in Sports Medicine from the Pittsburgh in 2004.

Bewalder is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the New Jersey Athletic Training Society. She currently resides in Hoboken, N.J.
