LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 17, 2018) – Junior pitcher Marissa Cappello of the Stevens Institute of Technology softball team was named to the 2018 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Northeast Region Team, the organization announced this week.
 
Cappello was one of just 360 players chosen for the 2018 NFCA Division III All-Region softball teams from across the country this year.
 
All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each of the eight Division III regions.
 
Cappello led the Ducks in nearly every pitching statistic, and was a second-team All-Empire 8 selection. She was 11-3 on the year with 105 strikeouts in only 86.2 innings, with just 28 walks and a .180 batting average against. The Mantua, N.J. native tossed four shutouts and sported a 1.62 ERA.
