Oliver Ortman enters his second season as an Assistant Coach in 2026-27.

Ortman arrives on Castle Point after spending the past two seasons on staff at The College of New Jersey, where the Lions posted identical 20-9 records. TCNJ captured the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship in 2023-24 and earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25.

Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Ortman enjoyed an outstanding playing career as a guard at FDU-Florham. A three-time captain and three-time team MVP, he earned Second Team All-MAC recognition as a senior and graduated as the program's 14th all-time leading scorer with 1,181 points. He also holds school records for career (201) and single-season (76) 3-pointers.

Away from the sidelines, Ortman served as a student ambassador for the Team IMPACT program, mentoring a child with a chronic physical condition. He has also been a coach and camp counselor with the New Jersey Basketball Academy since 2016 and coached with the NJ Panthers AAU program during the 2023 spring and summer seasons. A five-time Dean's List honoree and three-time Academic All-MAC selection, Ortman earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in sports administration from FDU.
